Education is like a library; constantly growing, evolving, and shaped by the knowledge and experiences we bring to it. Throughout our journeys as educators and life-long learners, we collect ideas, strategies, perspectives, and experiences that become part of our teaching toolkit. Every lesson, conversation, and challenge adds another resource to our library of learning.
The theme “Building a Library of Learning; Writing the Next Chapter of Education Together” celebrates the power of learning from one another. By sharing our experiences and exchanging ideas, we can continue to fill our personal libraries of knowledge with new strategies, fresh perspectives, and practical knowledge to bring into our classrooms. Each of us contributes something unique to the collection, helping build a stronger and more thoughtful future for education.
The Concurrent Education Students' Association acknowledges that Queen's University is situated on traditional Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee territory. To acknowledge this territory is to give recognition to its longer history and recognize its significance for the Indigenous peoples who lived, and continue to live, upon it.
